CBX: A New Look, A Better Core

To keep your credit union on the cutting edge, your core processing system should be able to evolve with the times.
Allow us to introduce CBX! This browser-based processing platform, which will be the new face of CU*BASE, offers a simplified, streamlined and innovative approach for your core operations.
What is CBX?
With CBX, your core processing software just became easier to use and more sophisticated. Skip the hassle of opening multiple web pages. CBX is a platform that uses a single web page within your browser, eliminating the need for multiple pages.
During this initial rollout phase, the CBX layout and processes will look and feel familiar to those who have already used CU*BASE, and “the learning curve for your teams will be low,” according to this article from CU*Answers, our partner credit union cooperative.
With this pivot to a browser-based data system, there are some new features to call out, such as the ability to adjust the screen size. In addition, commonly used items that were once located at the bottom of the page have been moved to a quick-access side panel and/or drop-down menu.
Other popular key features won’t be changing. The shortcuts and search navigation will still be available. Users will still need to be registered in the network to be able to access CBX. In addition, and most importantly, the switch to CBX will not have an impact on your members!
A Powerful Core Processing System & A Collaborative Core Community
Speaking of your members, we understand that there’s a lot to consider when it comes to core. We’re here to help! That’s why Vizo Financial and our payments CUSO, MY CU Services, have teamed up in recent years with CU*Answers.
Through this partnership, we created CUaxis, a collaborative core-focused space that serves as a supportive community. As a CBX user, you have access to CUaxis, which is a helpful hub where you can connect with credit union peers to talk on core trends and tech advancements, ask questions and support the movement! Visit our website to learn more!
CBX Rollout Timeline
The CBX rollout began in March, and for credit unions currently within the CUaxis community, CBX became available to a few select credit unions in April with more becoming available throughout this month. In the weeks to follow, CBX is expected to be available to all by the end of June.
Within the last several weeks, CU*Answers staff have started contacting credit unions to coordinate their transition to CBX. To find out when CBX will be available for your organization, you can check out the CBX availability schedule from CU*Answers.
We recognize that there are a lot more questions to cover on this topic! The video below provides a great overview of all the ins and outs of CBX. Additionally, CU*Answers has provided this helpful guide with a more detailed overview of the CBX rollout on their website, where you can learn more information at your leisure.
